A Lovely Sunrise on the Gallops in Newmarket

Late 2018 I headed out to Newmarket to capture images for a client. Leaving home early, I got to the gallops bang on time, to capture this soft beautiful image of the horses in the distance, coming down the famous hill towards the Suffolk town.

It’s all about planning, getting the time right and a touch of luck!

Sunrise on the River Bure | Broads National Park

A couple of days before I headed to Uganda for #Giveachildacamera I had a shoot booked around Coltishall in Norfolk – I arrived early and with some time to kill and with it being a decidedly atmospheric morning I popped over to the River Bure and shot a few frames. The sun struggled to make progress through the mist, however with time on my side I sat and gave it thirty minutes and soon the glorious sun made progress and helped to create a rather emotive image.

Serene view of Blythburgh at Sunrise

On the way to a morning shoot on the Suffolk/Essex border yesterday I drove through Blythburgh and was captivated by the mist gently lifting off the water – parking down a track I popped the walking boots on and marched across the marshland, arriving just in time before the sun finally broke through.

A serene scene unfolded in front of my eyes and proved to be the perfect start to the day!

Early morning on the East Coast at the Orbis Centre

Lovely morning the other day… After a busy day shooting in Birmingham on Tuesday (now that was hot!) I was on the seawall at 6am the following day, shooting a couple images of Orbis Energy for my client.

The light was stunning, helping to create an unusual image of the centre at Sunrise.

Love the Broads – Atmospheric Image

Climbing over barbed wire, i ended up taking a slice out of my leg in the dark and then wading through the marsh to get to the edge of the river.. I was freezing cold, but sat tight and sipped warm coffee waiting for the mist to rise and the sun to burn through.

A lot of effort, but one of my favorite images of Oulton Broad..

The photo mug, alongside the original image.

Photographic prints of this are available, please message me for details.

Halvergate Marshes

A quick look at one of my images from today.. on Halvergate marshes at 6:50am, I was making my way across to Lockgate & Halvergate High mills..they are part of a renovation bid and much like the others, the client needed some pretty special images… on my way to the mills, the sun began to break and as I stepped onto the frost bitten greenery,, I watched deer run across the the fields & owls on the way back to their young, while this peaceful scene unfolded in front of me.. Quickly setting the Nikon up I grabbed a couple of frames..then enjoyed the scene in front of me
