Great Fun at a Lovely Beccles Nursery

Famous children’s illustrator Polly Dunbar has created a wonderful mural at a local Suffolk nursery, helping to significantly brighten up the space!
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of popping along to Big Sky Nursery in the charming market town of Beccles to photograph some of the lovely children and to meet and photograph Polly, with the newly created mural.
Dodging rain showers, we had great fun setting up some of the shots, using the odd strobe to add that sparkle, the kids played ball (literally) and were great little models.

Wonderful Pre Wed Shoot in Norfolk

Beginning of May I met the lovely Ellie & Rob at their stables in Norfolk for a pre wedding shoot.
It was a rather hot day with that horrid mist that didn’t seem to burn off – but thankfully around the stables/paddocks we had a plethora of locations to chose and play with and managed to introduce some strobes to fill light.

Many of you will know I am now gradually moving away from weddings due to more commercial operations and it’s a pleasure to end, what has been a wonderful few years with Rob & Ellie’s wedding in a couple or so months.

Summer Shoot on the Norfolk Broads

With the wet and cold weather firmly set in for Winter,  it seems suitable to look back a few months on some of my shoots on the Norfolk Broads, in particular three wonderful days on the Northern & Southern Broads, photographing cyclists, holidaymakers, day trippers, horse riders and locals, all of whom made the summer so much fun for me & my camera gear!

Beautiful Wedding at the Boathouse | Norfolk

Couples getting married at the moment are truly blessed with wonderful weather!
At the end of June Becky & Sam had their wonderful wedding at The Boat House on a baking hot day with wonderful deep blue sky!

A truly lovely day spent by the river in a celebration with their friends & family.

The Norfolk & Norwich Festival…what an opening night!

Friday evening Norwich played host to the opening reception of the fabulous Norfolk & Norwich Festival where French company Transe Express led crowds through the city in a whirlwind of music, dance & acrobatics as thousands gathered around the City Hall & The Forum, Norwich to celebrate this rather energetic and atmospheric opening….

Incredible how a festival such as the Norfolk & Norwich can uplift the area, bringing in wonderful art, culture and generally a feeling of happiness and brightness during what are becoming ever more tough times for the vulnerable in our society.

Enjoy the festival & celebrate our wonderful multicultural outlook.

Radar Checks on the Broads Waterways

Radar checks on the Broads waterways are a crucial part of keeping the numerous rivers in good order, preserving the quality of the banks and also protecting wildlife.

Last week I enjoyed a morning on the River Ant with the rangers, as they patrolled the river and kept a friendly check on the progress of the numerous boats.
