Out on the Suffolk Route of The Women’s Tour

It’s that time of the year again (well preparations are underway) when the Women’s Tour of Britain visits East Anglia again..

With spectator numbers on the up and this year set to be even bigger and better with the best of best in Women’s cycling taking to the road, it will be sure to be an amazing stage race! The stage race is part of the inaugural Women’s WorldTour.

Last year I produced a feature on top Suffolk elite rider Tanya Griffiths, this year we’re looking at a couple of the female club riders who rode some of the Suffolk stage last week and provided their opinions on the course and race favorites.

Coming out in June 2016.

Blythburgh church wedding

Few images from the lovely wedding of Natalie & Paul last month.. We were blessed with dry and bright conditions – it might have been chilly, but the lovely bride and groom and all their guests didn’t let that impact on a wonderful wedding celebration!

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Aldridge

on the Amber hunt!

Last week I visited sunny Southwold for a feature I’m writing at the Ambershop. I had some knowledge of amber, but having visited the shop & enjoying a chat with the owner and arguably the most knowledgeable person on amber in the UK – I came away with a new found knowledge and love for the 40 million year old stone.

I was amazed to see the haul of amber that had been found on the Suffolk coast… worth thousands of pound – including the big beauty in the shot, which is the largest piece of amber to have been found in the UK – located just a couple of miles away! and worth £££££

The Head Brewer

A couple of weeks ago I paid a visit to St Peters Brewery, near Bungay.
Working on a new feature for Suffolk Magazine, I enjoyed the tour and chat about the history of this rather remarkable brewery.

The highlight was without doubt, the information and knowledge that head brewer Steve Groves parted with during the brewing process.

Feature to follow in the next few months…
