Give a Child a Camera Edinburgh exhibition is up!

Give a Child a Camera Edinburgh exhibition is up! Huge thanks to Wex Photo Video and in particular Emma and the marketing team for showing such passion for the project and for assisting & providing a great store venue. A special mention also to store manager Francesco, who equally demonstrated so much love & passion for the children’s incredible work.
It feels wonderful to be able to display work from the children in Southwest Uganda in the Scottish capital – I know for a fact they can’t believe their images are on display for the world to see.
The mini exhibition is up until the end of June, so please, if you’re in the area do pop in and enjoy the work of 15 children.
Plans for #giveachildacamera 2019 are well underway…..

Light, Bright Corporate Shoot

I remember the days (gosh I sound somewhat old now!) when I was first commissioned – many years ago – to shoot corporate material. I would arrive and be greeted with bland walls, laminate furniture and horrible lighting.

These days companies – certainly those forward-thinking organisations, have created wonderfully light, bright and attractive places of work. Even older properties have been transformed with colour and those nice little touches. It is really good to see organisations investing in their employees, considering their wellbeing and of course enabling photographers to grab some excellent frames.

This recent work is shot in the company’s offices in Norwich and Cambridge and as with the vast majority of my work, was a joy to shoot.

Thousands cycle around Norfolk at Tour de Norfolk Sportive

Thousands of cyclists took to the Norfolk roads on Sunday at the 2nd Tour de Norfolk cycling sportive.
Torrential rain on Saturday thankfully didn’t dampen the spirits of the masses on Sunday, as it started off a little damp, but thankfully the sun came out (mixed with a few showers in North Norfolk) and all involved seemed to have a ball on the quiet lanes of Norfolk.

Photographs from the event are now online – pop along to the Tour de Norfolk website or visit the albums by clicking the link below…

Well done to all who took part and congrats on raising thousands for the Big C!

Lovely little shoot in Waxham, Norfolk

In a few weeks I have the pleasure of photographing the lovely wedding of Ant & Martine in Norfolk.
For a little warm up, we headed to the beach at Waxham, in Norfolk on a beautiful but windy day.
It was a real pleasure shooting images of them, such a fun loving and affectionate couple, who made the photography side of things just perfect.

Tour de Broads images are online! An amazing day for cycling around Norfolk

Tour de Broads start/finish images are finally online! There will be links from the main Tour de Broads cycling website at some point today. In the meantime, you can always visit the multiple galleries by visiting  http://julianclaxton.jalbum.net/

So many happy faces and a great sense of achievement – super well done to all who took part! Especially to those who achieved their goals, whether that be a family ride, 20/40/75 or the epic 100 miles.

Sunny but cold shoot in Southwold

A quick peek at one of the images from the pre Christmas shoot with the lovely Laura & Michael in Southwold…

My coughing fits put to one side, this couple were really great fun to work with and before we knew it, it was getting too dark too shoot!
