Beautiful Wedding at the Boathouse | Norfolk

Couples getting married at the moment are truly blessed with wonderful weather!
At the end of June Becky & Sam had their wonderful wedding at The Boat House on a baking hot day with wonderful deep blue sky!

A truly lovely day spent by the river in a celebration with their friends & family.

Give a Child a Camera Update

Give a Child a Camera 2018 has certainly been an emotional rollercoaster thus far.
Working with the inspirational children at the Uganda/Rwanda border has provided challenges, tears, smiles and some great imagery.

It’s always difficult meeting a group of kids for the first time, especially when they have come from such hard backgrounds.
A few of the children are HIV positive and many of them have mothers that are sex workers around the border town.

We started off with a couple of days of light workshops, talking about cameras, how to hold, use and the basic function, moving onto basic composition methods.

A day out to a waterfall and visitors centre was organised (the children had never left the town area) for some creative, blurred and fun imagery..accompanied by lunch and soda.

A rest couple of days followed, but a photo walk around the border was on The cards for one afternoon. Providing an insight into their lives on the border.

I’m eagerly awaiting the films to come back from Kampala this week ready for an editing session with the kids on friday…

Here are few special images from the last week

Corporate clients invest in photography

I’m fortunate enough to work with a handful of terrific corporate clients who invest in photography – they have ditched cheap universal stock photography and all the associated problems these images bring (the same images on similar businesses etc) and instead believe in creating their own imagery of staff and clients – real people and a real focus on individuals.

Recently I was sent out to the coast to photograph one of their clients, a landlord who has a reputation for providing fabulous property services, as well as renovating some of the gorgeous Victorian properties along the seafront.

Fabulous Business Shoot in Peterborough

Fabulous shoot a couple of weeks ago in Peterborough… lovely people, great building, inspiring tech and shockingly good food…

A long day with the camera gear, saw a variety of shoots throughout the building. People, food and events were the order of the day… timing the food shoots just before lunch enabled us to eat the samples (not all of them.. just the one dish)… bit unusual this, as normally it’s stone cold and heavily ‘made up’ – but the chef prepared it perfectly and it was ready to go on time and looking great.. .no make up required!

Thousands cycle around Norfolk at Tour de Norfolk Sportive

Thousands of cyclists took to the Norfolk roads on Sunday at the 2nd Tour de Norfolk cycling sportive.
Torrential rain on Saturday thankfully didn’t dampen the spirits of the masses on Sunday, as it started off a little damp, but thankfully the sun came out (mixed with a few showers in North Norfolk) and all involved seemed to have a ball on the quiet lanes of Norfolk.

Photographs from the event are now online – pop along to the Tour de Norfolk website or visit the albums by clicking the link below…

Well done to all who took part and congrats on raising thousands for the Big C!

Beautiful Wedding at Waxham Barns

A month ago I had the pleasure of photographing the lovely Ant & Martine at their wonderful wedding on the Norfolk Coast at Waxham Barns.

Summer was truly in full swing and we were greeted by lovely weather, beautiful blue sky, great food and well stocked bars!

The barns provided the perfect romantic space for their wedding, with the beach an ideal backdrop for some extra photographs.

Already a month into their marriage, I’m sure these images will provide a lovely little reminder of their special day. Congratulations folks

A spot of corporate photography in Suffolk

A little more corporate photography recently on the Suffolk/Cambridgeshire border… shooting with a couple of strobes and utilizing the gorgeous light from a bright office, some pleasing imagery was achieved.

Familes & Sustainable Travel in Norfolk

The Inaugural Tour de Norfolk

Last Sunday saw the inaugural Tour de Norfolk cycle sportive from the Norfolk Show ground.
A bumper field of cyclists took to the roads of Norfolk for a wonderful day in the saddle on the Norfolk country lanes.

The event seemed to be a real hit, with the vast majority already looking forward to second version next year!

Riders donated at least £1 to Big C, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary, with many raising hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds through individual fund-raising.

Photographs from the event are available to view from the official Tour de Norfolk site  http://tourdenorfolk.co.uk/
