Cycling fun in Yarmouth

Fabulous shoot a few weeks ago in sunny Great Yarmouth with a wonderful family.

I was on the lookout for some suitable models and up steps one of the most willing and helpful families around! Kindly giving up a couple of hours, they came, bikes in tow ready to pose along the bright and sunny seafront.

Thankfully Yarmouth has now added to the seafront appeal with some equally bright and cheerful beach huts which provided a useful backdrop.

A Wonderful Wedding in Woodbridge

On a beautiful cold winters day, Tina & Gary ‘tied the knot’ in the wonderful surroundings of Woodhall Manor.

While the winter light disappears quickly, it does bring other opportunities for the photographer!

Thankfully, Tina came prepared with enough sparklers for each guest and with the guests happy to brave the freezing conditions for a few minutes we created a wonderfully atmospheric scene to celebrate their union.

Wishing you a happy lovely life together.

Cemex Hackathon | Cambridge

What exactly is a Hackathon? that was the question I was asking about 10 days ago when a booking popped in for a two day shoot in Cambridge working with worldwide brand Cemex.

Arriving at the fabulous Moller Centre, it seems I wasn’t the only one asking that question… However, after two long days, lots of coffee, coca cola and tremendous food – the brains of the 150+ people certainly had a good workout!

Come 4pm on Saturday the final ideas were presented, prizes awarded and the commitment from the company to develop the idea.. what a fab way to generate ideas and ‘move forward’ as a brand.

Give a Child a Camera | V3 2018 | Uganda

I’m really pleased to announce that #Giveachildacamera returns for 2018, where I will be rolling the project out to a group of young vulnerable children on the border with Rwanda.

Give a child a camera is all about providing slightly different opportunties for children in East Africa.
After a little bit of tution the children, (who have not used cameras before) are given their cameras for around a week, where they document their lives in a fascinating fashion.

If you would like to get involved, have an old camera, laptop, equipment or wish to donate to the project please pop along to the project website  https://giveachildacamera.wordpress.com/

Familes & Sustainable Travel in Norfolk

The 2017 Steeplechase Derby

The 2017 Steeplechase Derby was held in Norfolk on Saturday amidst sublime summer weather… once the warm up was through, the race started and competitors took to the jumps, running through water, over logs, through mud and up hills…

Well done to everyone who took part… I like to think I joined in the fun, standing in a dyke in my walking boots and then running alongside the course with my camera backpack to get ahead of the competitors… who ever said being a photographer was easy! – good fun though!

The Big C Bungee in Norwich

Ever fancied doing a bungee jump?… well, hopefully these images will give you a small glimpse into the fun that over 40 people had on Sunday at the Big C charity jump outside the Forum in Norwich.

Arguably having the best job of the day, I was up and down in the 200ft crane, photographing jumpers, their emotions and the great fun they all had. Sadly I missed the chance to jump myself, but nerveless had a great experience.

Learning at home PR Campaign

Brief in hand I popped along to my shoot location in Norfolk to a lovely property ready to shoot images of these adorable girls for a summer PR campaign… Greeted with waves, shouts and “the photographer is here” I set about capturing images of these children in various poses, trying to capture an essence of learning and homework… Using a couple of strobes and bowens battery pack, we managed to capture some good imagery.

Frosty start to the Bicicle cycle festival

The forum in Norwich was the place for a little winter cycling last week with the Bicicle cycle show.
A frosty and a somewhat mist riddled morning eventually departed around midday so the crowds could enjoy some fabulous cycling related activities.

There was certainly something for everyone and the children I spoke to had an absolute ball, riding around obstacle courses, creating ice sculptures and using the spin bikes to create stunning works of art.
