Norfolk Schools Opera

Last month, Norfolk Schools Opera held the first opening performance at the Theatre Royal – where schools came together for a day of workshops and performances. – The project will eventually culminate in some outstanding performances in 2019 – Personally I can’t wait to see how the children’s ideas will transform the theatre stage!

Feel Inspired | Give a Child a Camera

Inspired by my project Give a Child a Camera…? Pop along to Open, Norwich on the 29th March.

In association with those lovely folks at WEX Photographic – I’ll be giving a talk about #GiveaChildaCamera – how the project started, what the children of rural Uganda thought about using a camera for the first time and ultimately displaying a selection of awe inspiring images from the kids both from V1 & V2 of the project, along with a small selection of my own work from my time over the last couple of years living within the rural community.

The passion, commitment & love of children in Uganda

It’s been a while since I posted any images from my latest African adventure. Mainly because I’m holding back on some of the images as I’m still trying to secure a venue to exhibit at this summer and would prefer first of all to show the images in actual print.

But here is one of the images shot at the school… a moment during morning chapel in rural Uganda.

The passion, commitment and love of those children is really quite something.

Norfolk Schools Project | Final Performance

On Sunday three schools from Norwich took to the stage at the Norwich Theatre Royal to perform their own unique and rather fabulous versions of the The Magic Flute..

I have watched the kids develop into wonderful performers who looked as though they felt very at home on the stage!

Below are some images from the performance on Sunday… arriving at the theatre at 10am I was able to photograph the rehearsals, enabling me to get nice and close to the action while staying on for the main performance, watching several parents have a tear or two!
