Lovely light, bright corporate space

Recently I had the pleasure of returning to one of my regular clients, shooting some new lifestyle corporate imagery in their wonderfully bright clean environment.

During these shoots, I always to try to keep lighting to around two led studio strobes and the beautiful range of Nikon primes (god I love those lenses, despite the horrendous price!)

One Truly Inspirational Norfolk Person

One of the many pleasures of being a photographer that I’m always harping on about, is the wonderful people I get to meet.

One such inspirational and truly incredible person is David Moar.
David was the co-founder of the BIGC – the cancer charity for Norfolk & Waveney.
Suffering from ‘The Big C’ himself in the early 80’s he became frustrated with the long journey’s to London for treatment – move forward a few years and the BIGC cancer charity was formed, becoming instrumental in the research, development & treatment of cancer in Norfolk.

I spent an enjoyable afternoon in the company of David at his Norfolk home, shooting some soft editorial images. A real treat to be in such lovely company.

Portraiture at Anglia Ruskin | Cambridge

Rather privileged to head back to Anglia Ruskin University to work with a marketing client, obtaining a selection of editorial portraiture for their forthcoming PR use.
Using the interesting surroundings of the Lord Ashcroft Business School, we managed to dodge the harsh sunlight, employ the use of a couple of reflectors and then add a little fill light with a couple of soft boxes

Portraiture | Cambridge

Really pleased to be asked to collaborate with an agency who works with universities in Cambridge. They wanted a selection of editorial style portraiture of academics for use in up and coming PR material. The brief required bright and pleasing imagery and nothing overly dramatic.

Working around one of the campus locations, it was an enjoyable day and rather interesting to hear about their work, opinions and insight into their world.

Environmental Portrait in Norfolk

One of many nice shoots this week saw me visit the Stratton Streless Estate in Norfolk and owner Jeff.
The client wanted a nicely lit gentle environmental portrait… The sun was a little too harsh and the amount of dust was horrendous! (photographers never are happy!)

Thankfully I managed to find a few suitable locations – my favorite is the lovely potato boxes.. I just love the texture and colour of these ‘props’… thankfully I got the model in the shade and then setup three small strobes to just had some soft light…worked a treat!

Portrait shoot on Aldeburgh beach

Quick peek at one of the images from a shoot last weekend in Aldeburgh of the Watling family.

Grabbing an hour in between heavy rain, we managed (just about) to stay dry and shoot some images on the lovely beach at Aldeburgh.. The mist was rolling in and the light was going quickly, thankfully we got everything just before the rain clouds rolled in again!
