Returning to St Helena Hospice

I recently had the privilege of returning to St Helena Hospice in Essex, tasked with the brief of capturing imagery of the staff in their Covid Safe working environment.

As you would imagine, since my last visit the world is sadly a very different place. It’s testament to the passion, commitment and selfless nature of the staff at the hospice that they have adapted and continue to offer incredible personal care to those who need it.

Fabulous London Shoot

Often older people are portrayed in various publications & care homes/agencies etc as frail and happy to sit and watch the world pass them by….photographed in bland rooms with beige paint and those lovely (!?) vinyl chairs… thankfully things are changing and one organisation that I work with is at the forefront in changing perceptions & opportunities is AGE UK Camden.

I’ve been fortunate enough to work with them this year on a variety of exciting and challenging shoots, helping to change those preconceptions.

These images were from a shoot on the waterfront in Camden. It was a pleasure to not only photograph these people, but also to sit and talk and hear about their amazing lives – full of stories, love and passion, truly incredible people and who have thirst for life.

Spot of Photography at a Norwich Acupuncture Clinic

An enjoyable and interesting recent shoot saw me popping along to the charming Three Treasures Acupuncture clinic in Norwich to work with Nicola.

I’ve witnessed first hand the benefits of acupuncture from numerous visits to China, but to really get an insight into the ‘art’ and craft of this fabulous treatment was a real pleasure and indeed interesting. The years studying & constant CPD has meant Nicola is a real knowledge bank regarding her industry and I thoroughly enjoyed a formal introduction to Acupuncture and to understand the numerous treatments on offer and the health benefits these can have.
