  • Perception | HIV in Uganda

    Living with HIV has become part of life for many in world. Sadly, the epidemic is continuing to be a crippling illness in much of Africa. Uganda, where an estimated 1.3 million live with the illness, is making progress in the reduction of the disease. Thanks in part to marvellous Ugandan run NGOs such as Katuna Marps, that reduction is continuing to grow, with education improving, empowering and changing lives. This is a photo story of people affected by HIV, from the young children near the border, to the mothers who sell sex and work in the border towns "because there is nothing else"
