Finalist at LWC Suffolk Chamber of Commerce Awards

As some of you may already know, I’m feeling an immense sense of pride and gratitude to be one of the finalists in this years Suffolk Chamber of Commerce Lowestoft & Waveney Awards

The category – community pride award is for my project #giveachildacamera and the impact it has made to lives in rural Uganda and shortly Rwanda. The project has also had some impact within communities on the East Coast, working voluntarily with Pakefield school in 2015 students there had the chance to run similar projects, comparing lives but probably more importantly gaining an understanding of African life and what it is like to live in rural East Africa.

In 2016 I joined forces with Access community trust to help deliver their summer photography program and I’m currently working on part three of Give a child a camera – where I’ll be returning to Rwanda, but this time teaching photography to pupils at a deaf school in the countryside of this special country.
